Yesterday, we showed a video of the Minecraft PC edition running on an Android powered Nexus 7. While we don’t have anything quite that awesome today, this is possibly the next best thing!
Today, jeb_ has tweeted that Minecraft PE for Windows Phone is coming.
Yes, Minecraft: Pocket Edition *is* coming to the Windows Phone! The port runs already, but there’s still much to do before any release

This was supported by a series of tweets from Tommaso Checchi (@_tomcc), a mojang developer working on Minecraft PE.
Btw, here’s another reason we’ve been pretty busy while working on 0.10
“The port is in the first stages though. It’s kind of slow now and needs optimization, so in full Mojang style the release date is “soon”™.”
And nobody forced/threatened us if you’re wondering! Actually, we started before the whole Microsoft thing :)
No release date has been announced, and we’ll probably be waiting a while for that. It’s good to know however, that a Windows Phone version is being created.
