Last year, one of the earliest “Epic Builds” that I featured was the “Train of Dead Souls”. Now, it’s time to follow that up with 11 other awesome steam trains which have been built in Minecraft since then.

#1 – Berkshire 2-8-4 | Auf dem Rhein

This build is massive, and looks almost as good as the real thing

#2 – The Famous Chapelon Nord | Ozorian

I had to google this train to find out the story behind it. They’re high performance French steam trains originally designed and built in the 1920’s and retired in the 1960s.

#3 – Khaldun – The Dune Breaker | ciscoqt

I’m not quite sure if this qualifies as a steam train, but it looks cool, so I slipped it in anyway!

#4 – Steam Powered Train | Elukaszeko

As far as I can tell, this isn’t built to look like any train in particular. It is however, massive. (it looks cool too).

#5 – Harold Steam Locomotive | Jose_831

There’s a whole mining town and airship that go with this steam train, but I’ve said that for another time. Check them out on PlanetMinecraft though!

#6  4-6-4 Steam Locomotive & Train, “Perplex Express” Mario Party 8 | WalschaertsBuilds

PlanetMinecraft Link

This is an almost perfect recreation of the “Perplex Express” from Mario Party 8, and the attention to detail is crazy!

#7 – DRG Class 86 – Steam Locomotive | Ozorian

The DRG Class 86 was a German locomotive, popular from 1928-1945.

#8 – Steam Locomotive & Coaling Tower | Pandemonesian

A large western-style steam locomotive, stopped at a coaling tower. I’m not sure exactly what it’s modelled on, but it looks very impressive.

#9 – The Blue Banshee | DennyFCT

As far as I can tell, there isn’t a real “Blue Banshee”. Despite that, this train is really cool, and you should check it out!

#10 – Type 3 Locomotive | black egg

This train is massive, and there is a lot of attention to detail in the interiors of the cars. It’s also based on the real Type 3 Locomotive

#11 – Canadian Pacific Royal Hudson #2860 | Captain Dynamite

To end the list, here’s a recreation of a Canadian train!
