The “Minecraft Movie” has been in discussion for years. It was delayed, then Shawn Levy, director of “Night at the Museum” was billed to direct it. Since then, Mojang has been silent, until now.

Just an hour ago, Mojang released an update, stating that Rob McElhenney will direct the movie. McElhenney directs the TV Show “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”, and the Minecraft Movie will be his first time directing a film.

We still don’t know anything else about the Minecraft movie, other than it could be awesome!
