If you’re working on an adventure map, evil ways to trap players are always interesting. If you like playing adventure maps, peeking behind the curtain can be interesting. If you don’t fit either of those categories, this might not be all that interesting.
Still here? Great! Youtuber ARVACODE has come up with a great new invention. (I should really call it a trap…) Quicksand! Sucks players in, and doesn’t let them out. Watch the video, and then check out the commands below!

[Falling Sand:] (One for each sand block)
/summon FallingSand xxx xx.875 -xx
[Stepping On Sand Detector:]
/execute @a ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ minecraft:sand -1 setblock xxx xx xxx minecraft:redstone_block
/setblock xxx xx xxx minecraft:air
[Stepping On Soul Sand:]
/setblock xxx xx xxx minecraft:air
/execute ARVACODE ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ minecraft:soul_sand -1 setblock xx xx xxx minecraft:redstone_block
[Fill Clock:]
Top: /setblock ~ ~-1 ~ minecraft:air
