This update has a number of changes and improvements:
tiny biomes (1/64 normal size), so that you don’t have to spend 30 minutes scouring the overworld to find certain items (e.g. ‘vine’)
lots of dungeons, so that both players are likely to be able to obtain dungeon-specific loot in the first 10-15 mins
no diorite/granite/andesite (they serve no purpose other than cluttering your inventory)
lots of bug fixes and usability improvements

Really though, if you guys and gals haven’t checked this out yet, please do. Brian has been doing a fantastic job – and this takes all the great parts of starting a new Minecraft world (finding tools, finding food, early survival, etc.) and compresses them down into a really fun, really quick burst of gameplay.

It really scratches that “new world” itch without you having to actually start a new world all the time.
