Due to the Xbox 360’s Limitations, the world is only 864 x 864 blocks in size. This size doesn’t increase as of yet when transferred to Xbox One.
For PC users, Mega Taiga biomes can be found naturally spawning after version 1.7 (includes 1.7.2 to 1.7.10 and 1.8)
