If you’ve been watching the indie game scene recently, you might have heard of Stranded Deep – a survival game, with crafting, that puts leaves you stranded in the ocean (with islands around), and expects you to survive. While ErminCaft‘s “Stranded Raft” doesn’t claim to be a remake, it’s hard to miss the similarities. That’s not a bad thing, because this map looks awesome! (Also, it’s in Minecraft!).
The premise of “Stranded Raft” is simple: Scavenge. Discover. Survive.
To quote ErminCaft, “Stranded raft is an infinite water map with few islands and a changed placement of resources to make it harder to survive. Also it includes more survival mechanics than vanilla minecraft. With the new features of minecraft 1.8 I implemented a Cold and Thirst system, so you could die of hypothermia in this map or being dehydrated.”
You can download the map at PlanetMinecraft.
Keep an eye out for my review of this map, because I can’t wait to check it out myself!
